Cor Jesu Oratory - Boyd, WI

This weekend I assisted at the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass with the Institute of St Joseph.  Their Oratory is located near Boyd, WI.  The Mass was a Solemn High Traditional Latin Mass, and was wonderfully done.  Oh how I wish I could attend this Mass every week - the small number of folks there have a treasure and I hope they realize how lucky they are.  A Mass without liturgical abuse weekly.  WOW.  They also have a blog you can check out for more info.  Pictures below - it was quite dark in the church, I would like to have gotten better pics - perhaps the BC can get some more at a later date.

Details - This Sunday they had Confession, Mass, and then Benediction.  Not sure if this is the norm, you may want to call for further details.

Holy Mass:  10:30 am
Confession:9:45—10:15 am
Morning Prayer and
Eucharistic Adoration: 8:00 am

Here is the official statement by SOLT regarding Father John Corapi.

Official SOLT Statement Regarding Fr John Corapi

As the Regional Priest Servant of the Society of Our Lady of the Most Holy Trinity (SOLT), I issue the following statement on behalf of the Society.

On 16 March 2011, the Bishop of Corpus Christi, Texas, and the SOLT received a complaint against Fr. John Corapi, SOLT. As is normal procedure and due to the gravity of the accusation alleging conduct not in concert with the priestly state or his promises as a member of an society of apostolic of diocesan right, Fr. Corapi was suspended from active ministry (put on administrative leave) until such a time that the complaint could be fully investigated and due process given to Fr. Corapi. In the midst of the investigation, the SOLT received a letter from Fr. Corapi, dated June 3, 2011, indicating that, because of the physical, emotional and spiritual distress he has endured over the past few years, he could no longer continue to function as a priest or a member of the SOLT. Although the investigation was in progress, the SOLT had not arrived at any conclusion as to the credibility of the allegations under investigation.

At the onset, the Bishop of Corpus Christi advised the SOLT to not only proceed with the policies outlined in their own constitution, but also with the proper canonical procedures to determine the credibility of the allegations against Fr. Corapi. We reiterate that Fr. Corapi had not been determined guilty of any canonical or civil crimes. If the allegations had been found to be credible, the proper canonical due process would have been offered to Fr. Corapi, including his right to defense, to know his accuser and the complaint lodged, and a fair canonical trial with the right of recourse to the Holy See. On June 17, 2011, Fr. John Corapi issued a public statement indicating that he has chosen to cease functioning as a priest and a member of the SOLT.

The SOLT is deeply saddened that Fr. Corapi is suffering distress. The SOLT is further saddened by Fr. Corapi’s response to these allegations. The SOLT will do all within its power to assist Fr. Corapi if he desires to seek a dispensation from his rights and obligations as a priest and as a professed member of the SOLT. We request your prayers and the intercession of the Blessed Mother for the healing of Fr. Corapi and for any who have been negatively affected by Fr. Corapi’s decision to end his ministry as a priest and a member of the SOLT.

Fr Gerrard Sheehan, SOLT
Regional Priest Servant

So Who is Responsible, Then?

Not that I like to be a headhunter, but the question BEGS an answer.  If you don't like this Vortex, please answer the questions - publicly.  Again, not trying to headhunt - but in ALL things someone needs to be responsible.  In the family - the Husband, in the Church - the Bishops, at the Parish level - the Priest.  While many may run from it, those in authority need to be accountable for their - or lack of - action.  I point the finger at myself before anyone else.  When things go badly we must stand up and have the ba*ls to own up to what we have done.  That is simply part of a Man's vocation.  To hide or shirk that is nothing short of cowardice.  And we all have had our moments.  Like I wrote, the finger points to me.

Father Corapi's new "name"?

http://www.theblacksheepdog.us/ here you will find his most recent statement, as well as more info regarding the recent events.

I must say, I don't know were he's going with this - it seems very illusive.  One thing I know, I have NEVER heard him speak contrary to the Faith.  NEVER, not once has he even remotely sounded like a heretic, schismatic, or a rebel.  I CANNOT say that about other Bishops, Priests, or Deacons that still have the authority of public ministerial service.  We'll see how this plays out.

Super Bowl star: 'nothing more honorable' than fighting to preserve traditional marriage

David Tyree defends marriage in a video for the National Organization for Marriage.
NEW YORK, June 16, 2011 (LifeSiteNews.com) - In the lead up to a vote on gay "marriage" in New York, a former NFL football star has spoken out in favor of preserving traditional marriage, saying that allowing homosexual couples the status of marriage would mark a critical moral turning point towards "anarchy" in America.
"What I know will happen if this does come forth is this will be the beginning of our country sliding toward, it is a strong word, but anarchy," said former New York Giants wide receiver David Tyree in a video for the National Organization for Marriage.

"The moment we have, if you trace back even to other cultures, other countries, that will be the moment where our society in itself loses its grip with what's right. It's about what's right."
Fox News New York noted that Tyree is best known for making a famous catch against his helmet during Super Bowl XLII in 2008, helping the New York Giants win an upset 17-14 victory in the final two minutes of the game.
Tyree, a 31-year-old Christian who is married with a sixth child on the way, continued: "It's about how can marriage be marriage for thousands of years and now all of the sudden, because a minority, an influential minority, has a push or an agenda and totally reshapes something that was not founded in our country, not founded by man, it is something that is holy and sacred.
"I think there is nothing more honorable, worth fighting for, especially if we really care about our future generations."

Tyree said that he doesn't consider the question from a political perspective, but instead from "an angle of prayer."
"Marriage is one of those things that is the backbone of society," Tyree added. "So if you redefine it, it changes the way we educate our children, it changes the perception of what is good, what is right, what is just."
The football star said that homosexual couples can never be considered an acceptable substitute for a mother and a father for children. "You can't teach something that you don't have, so two men will never be able to show a woman how to be a woman," he said.
