Don't believe Mr. Voris....check out last months post from two Cardinals.
On a side note, this is in fact the norm. However, reading the Church Fathers will reveal that in the beginning of the Church Communion in the hand was practiced widely. I seem to remember a letter that read something to the effect of "place one hand under the other as to make a throng for the King to be placed in, as it is indeed, a King whom you receive." HOWEVER......obedience must look to the NORMS of the Church now, which is on the tongue. Both are acceptable.......one way is superior.
"Toward the Heights"............
A common phrase used to describe Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati's life. Bl. Pier Giorgio saw life as a way to always reach the top - whether it be climbing the Mountains of Europe or, more importantly, reaching the heights in his Spiritual Life as well.
May the man of Beatitudes pray for us that we may have the same drive and desire to serve Our Lord as we serve others.
